Main characteristics:

  • 100% automatic.
  • For the preparation of quick lime, from fine or coarse lime (granulated).
  • Projects carried out in capacities from less than 1,000 kg/day up to 40,000 kg/hour in Calcium Oxide, and 70,0000 kg/hour in Calcium Hydroxide.
  • Pneumatic transport in the diluted phase for trucks unloading.
  • Flexibility in manufacturing materials for corrosive environments, eg. preparation with sea water. SAF2205 (Duplex), AISI 904L, among others).
  • Operational philosophy of double interlock, for safe control of the shutdown reaction.

Normally the scope of supply for these systems consists of:

  • Lime Storage Silo (or hopper).
  • Dust Collection System.
  • ASilo (or hopper) Bottom Activator or vibrator.
  • Pneumatic transport system for Lime loading.
  • Feed System:
    • Volumetric screw.
    • Conveyor belt with pesometer.
    • Rotary valve or combination of the previous ones.
  • Slaker or Mill (lime slaker equipment).
  • Fume collection systems.
  • Sorting System (battery of cyclones for Mills, or separator screen for Slaker).
  • Transfer pump and lime loop.
  • Transfer tanks for storage of Milk of Lime.
  • Instrumentation package.
  • Power and control associated with the supply.

Types of preparation:

a) Preparation from fine lime

100% automated compact plants for the production of Milk of Lime based on Fine Lime (up to 12 mm). For this purpose TecProMin S.A. supplies “Detention or Attrition” lime slakers which are designed in accordance with the residence time requirement for good hydration of the clients lim. The above, to optimize the generation of anions (OH)-, with efficiencies higher than 97%

b) Preparation from coarse or granulated lime

100% automated plants for the production of Milk of Lime, based on coarse lime from medium to low reactivity, with particle size up to 1 ½”.
For this purpose TecProMin S.A. supplies Horizontal or Tower lime Mills, that hydrate lime and grind grit. This one is incorporated in CaO as inert element, delivering it to the process without affecting the operation.
