TecProMin S.A. allocates a Mineral Sampling system Project for Codelco Radomiro Tomic District December 2020

Dic 01 2020

After participating in a public open tender TecProMin S.A. allocated the supply of a Mineral Sampling System Project at Codelco’s Crusher Plant.

This system is part of the Standardization Mineral Sampling Plant Project, due to the increase of 10,800 in the production process in Radomiro Tomic Mine, with peaks of 12,000 and a particle size of 50mm. This project must accomplish Codelco’s corporative sampling regulation CNAM 007.

The sampling station is composed of a primary and secondary sampler of straight trajectory, after the secondary sample it will have two lines of sampling: chemical and granulometric.

The chemical line will have cone and jaw crushers for the reduction of particle size and later a Vezin type tertiary sampler will be found to reduce the final sample, which will be gathered in two collectors and directed through reversible belts for sample transport.

The granulometric line will have a tertiary sampler of straight trajectory to reduce the final sample, which will be gathered in two collectors and directed through reversible belts for sample transport.

The project includes a study of discrete DEM elements for the optimal study of the behavior of the mineral inside the chutes and inside the primary spoon.

The control of the system will be carried out through two panels that will concentrate the PLC, the instrumentation signals and equipment items.
